Catch Yourself On
A Stormont game
- Each round is one crisis. Pick a response and watch public trust, Executive unity and budget headroom. Tap a meter to step into its room.
- Every party reacts by its own principles. A party at zero loyalty walks out, and a top partner at zero brings the Executive down.
- Each crisis belongs to a department. Its minister takes your handling personally.
- Spin builds when you dodge, brush off or play to the cameras, and falls when you are open and follow the rules. High spin drains trust. Low spin earns goodwill.
- Some crises are live. You get 20 seconds. If the clock runs out, a line is chosen for you and it costs trust. You can switch the timer off.
- Assembly votes need a majority. A petition of concern from 30 MLAs also needs both unionists and nationalists to agree.
- Backroom deals cost a favour, win a party over and leave an IOU. Word can leak.
- After the rounds, voters decide. Finish as the largest party to win.
